We have taken over a beautiful 18th Century Granary where we offer services ranging from musical instrument and amp repairs, to recording studios, music lessons and guitar setup courses. We also sell guitars, amps, strings and guitar accessories.

Directions: From Sudbury. Head out of town direction Chelmsford on the A131. As you leave Sudbury you will come to a set of traffic lights opposite the Kings head pub. Turn Right here and head towards Bulmer.
Upon reaching Bulmer go through the village and out the other side.
As you leave Bulmer look out on the Right for a small green board that says ' Goldingham Hall and the Old Granary'.
Turn right at this sign and follow the track down to the farm buildings where you will find signs to the 'Old Granary'.

From Braintree. Head towards Halstead/Sudbury on the A131. Go through the town of Halstead, direction Sudbury.
Approx 5 miles from Halstead (2 miles from Sudbury) you will come to Bulmer Tye. Look out for the Fox Pub on the right
100 metres past the Fox Pub Turn left (signed Bulmer 1 mile). When you arrive in Bulmer you come to T junction. Turn left into 'The Street' then go through the Village and out the other side.

About Robbie...

  ROBBIE GLADWELL...

Robbie is a trained maker and repairer of stringed musical instruments and acts as a consultant to many companies in the music industry Worldwide. He has been the demonstrator for Gibson guitars in the UK and throughout the world for a number of years and recently did the UK product launches for the Gibson Digital guitar and the self-tuning 'Robot' model on network TV and radio. He worked for Gibson guitars for 12 years in the UK, Europe and the USA and ran their repair and Quality control facility for the worldwide market in the UK and Holland. Robbie has built, repaired and customised guitars for some of World's leading guitarists.

He has been a consultant for Celestion loudspeakers and did regular listening tests for their guitar speakers and helped with the voicing of some of their most famous models. For a number of years he did live demonstrations for their guitar speakers and the ground breaking 'SR' series PA systems. He also compiled the 'Tone Selector' soundbites for Celestion's website (www.celestion.com).

As a well known music journalist, he is a columnist for 'Guitarist' Magazine and is known in the business as 'Dr Robert'. He regularly contributes to the Q&A section of the magazine.

He has also been a professional musician/singer for a number of years and has performed many high profile recording sessions as well as working and recording with several well known artistes including: - Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Suzi Quatro, BB King, Soul legend Percy Sledge, Little Eva, members of the BBC 'Eastenders' cast on their solo recordings, Pete York (Spencer Davis Group), Frank Gambale (Chick Korea's electric band) Twink (Pink Fairies) and Ted McKenna (Womack & Womack - Michael Schenker Group.

Robbie has also shared Stages with The Rolling Stones, Bill Wyman's 'Rhythm Kings', Jack Bruce (cream), Albert Lee (The Everly Brothers), Sir Paul Mc Cartney, James Burton (Elvis Presley), Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd) and Tom Jones, to name but a few!

The most recent album featuring Robbie on guitar and vocals is Steve Harley's 'The Quality Of Mercy'. Robbie has recorded many albums with Steve over the years. He has also recorded albums with Suzi Quatro - The'Latest And Greatest' album went gold in Europe and Platinum in Scandinavia This album features Robbie exclusively on guitars and backing vocals. He also worked with the legendary producer Mickie Most on several recording projects. He toured the world world with Suzi on many occasions over the years.

He was invited to perform in Liverpool at the George Harrison memorial concert playing with many stars including Sir Paul Mc Cartney. He has played the Albert Hall twice with Steve as a guest of Bill Wyman. He also supports and has performed for 'GAL' (Guitarist's Against Landmines) and played at the Lowry centre in Manchester to raise money for the charity.in 2007 he performed for the BBC 'Chldren in need' concert with Cockney Rebel. He has been a long standing member of Cockney rebel.

Robbie's own band features some of the finest musicians in the country, each one well known and highly respected in their own right.

Robbie is listed in the famous 'Who's Who of Rock and Pop Music.
